The Soldiers Tale

RIDOTTO, Concerts "with a Touch of Theatre", presents "The Soldier's Tale".
Written in 1918 by Igor Stravinsky, the piece was intended for a small
travelling theater. "L'Histoire" tells the timely tale of love, greed,
gambling, and ill-gotten riches. When the soldier sells his violin, he
squanders his soul.

Conductor Christopher Lyndon-Gee, leads the Stravinsky Ensemble with: Anton
Dressler - clarinet; Maria Jeletcheva -bassoon; Adam Gordon - trumpet;
Johannes Pfannkuch - trombone; Margaretha Maimone - violin; Josh Schwalbach
- double bass, and Levy Lorenzo - percussion

Narrator is David Majoros, with actors Sal Tuzzolo and Sal Massari in the
roles of the Soldier and the Devil, dancer Candice Nemec as the Princess
(choreography Jessie Niemiec). Staging: Victoria Edgar and Margaretha
Maimone.

The performance is Sunday March 7, 2010 at 4 pm. in Old First Church, on Rt.
25A in Huntington.

Ticket prices are $20, $18 (seniors), $15 (members), $10 (students).

Group price (10 or more), $12.
